| Brief | “Rustle” in the Lithuanian language means both money and tree leaves. When you return your deposit, you typically receive 10 cents of rustle.However, the Lithuanian Deposit System Administrator created an opportunity to choose another kind of rustle. Why? Because of the government’s newly approved policies, natural Lithuanian forests began to disappear.So we decided to act and, in collaboration with the Ancient Wood Foundation save the most precious Lithuanian forests - the Ancient woods. The Ancient Woods Foundation rebuys such forests from private owners and grants them safety by making them untouchable nature sanctuaries.According to current forest prices, the deal is really inspiring: 1 donated bottle = 0,1 m2 of rustle. Or: 10 donated bottles = 1 m2 of rustle.To promote our deal, we created a song, “Rustle,” with famous rapper Mesijus and a nationally worshipped boys choir, “Oak” and recorded a music video. It was watched more than million times. Influencers, nature lovers, and other music artists went crazy about it and promoted the deal. The commercial song made it to the radio charts, national Spotify trending TOP 10 and even the national music awards “M.A.M.A.” But, most importantly, it made people donate. More than 1M bottles were exchanged into rustle. More than 100,000 m2 of ancient woods were saved and hundreds of endangered species with them. |
