| Story | November – Movember is reserved for raising awareness of men's health issues, testicular cancer included. It is the most common cancer of all in 15-39 years old men cohort. Also, it’s one of the most unpleasant topics for men, often too brave when it’s not the right time to be and vice versa. Advertising agency Ovation Belgrade from Serbia created a campaign that adresses both. In partnership with Movember BL organization from Banjaluka (B&H) and renowned Belgrade photographer Vladimir Milivojević Boogie, we launched the teaser visual on OOH, guerrila posters, social media and print. BW photos of blurred men, showing a bit strange hand pointing middle finger, with "something" missing, took place all over these two cities, citing only one phrase – Control yourself. It was enough to leave audience shocked, get conversation started, and ofcourse, spark more than one meme. Ten days later, it was all clear. “Control yourself, don’t avoid your testicular examination”, with haunting statistic targeting younger men, explained what was the real meaning of the teaser visuals. And the odd hand was selfexplanatory – there was only one “testicle” on it for a reason. That’s what will happen if you don’t control yourself. As a call for responsibility and encouragement for men dealing with testical cancer, campaign was further distributed on local and regional TV, print, digital and OOH media. Results: Organic reach on 3 Instagram posts: 500.000+ Earned media reach: 1.200.000+ Earned media value: 120.000€ 10,83% increase in urological examination in state hospitals in NOV-DEC 2023, comparing to the same period 2022. |
