We turned Anne Frank's iconic bookcase into an AR app. After rotating it, users could step inside her room and the rooms of four young people facing discrimination today - becoming familiar with their stories by examining personal objects and the meaning behind them. Each room was carefully scanned using photogrammetry to create 3D-rendered, true-to-life models, allowing users to explore their experiencies in strikingly realistic fashion. The app quickly became a central piece for discussion in Dutch society, a subject for debate in classrooms across Europe and a permanent educational platform at the Anne Frank House – helping fight discrimination through education.
