Why did you think it was important to join the PHNX jury this year?
I believe it was important to join the PHNX jury this year because it presents an incredible opportunity to engage with and recognize the most innovative and impactful creative work from around the world. As a leader in the Creative space in Pakistan, staying at the forefront of industry trends and best practices is paramount, and participating in esteemed juries like PHNX allows me to do just that while also contributing to the elevation of our industry standards.
What do you think of our hybrid jury, featuring creatives but also strategists, clients and people from all corners of the industry?
I think the hybrid jury approach is fantastic. Including a diverse range of perspectives from creatives, strategists, clients, and industry professionals ensures a well-rounded evaluation process. It brings together different skill sets, experiences, and viewpoints, which can lead to more comprehensive discussions and ultimately result in more insightful and impactful decisions. This approach reflects the collaborative nature of the creative industry and promotes a more inclusive and representative evaluation of the work being considered.
What do you think of the idea of free entry until the shortlist stage?
The idea of offering free entry until the shortlist stage is a commendable approach. It democratizes the entry process, making it more accessible to a wider range of participants, especially those who might be deterred by entry fees. This can lead to a more diverse pool of submissions and allow for the discovery of hidden talents and innovative ideas that might otherwise go unnoticed. It also fosters a spirit of inclusivity and encourages creativity without financial barriers, which aligns well with the ethos of fostering creativity and recognizing excellence within the industry. I see it as a positive step towards promoting fairness and openness in creative competitions.
