Why did you think it was important to join the PHNX jury this year?
As a journalist, I believe it’s important to represent a critical voice from outside the industries.
What do you think of our hybrid jury, featuring creatives but also strategists, clients and people from all corners of the industry?
I believe diversity is a sign of a competent and trustworthy jury. The more different backgrounds and qualifications you put together, the better the decisions will be.
What do you think of the idea of free entry until the shortlist stage?
As a jury member, I support PHNX Awards’ strategic work with creating accessibility for all. Too many opportunities are still for the few, so it’s necessary to take every step we can towards a better, fairer and more equal world.
How would you define the perfect PHNX Awards winner?
I’m always looking for a story, a deeper meaning. To me, a winner needs to have a purpose, a vision, a dream to make a change. I’m expecting something fresh, original or surprising.
What is having the biggest impact on creative trends at the moment?
From my point of view, it’s the climate crisis and the political and economical instability in the world. It’s affecting all the areas I’m covering: fashion, design, art and culture.
