With a highly eclectic and multiple award winning career as a recording artist, composer, and producer in the music industry, Mark started scoring and sound designing advertising campaigns & films in 2005.
Sayfritz just finished writing the original music for 'Snatch', a 10 part series for Sony Pictures/Crackle based on Guy Ritchie's original film starring Rupert Grint (Harry Potter) and Dougray Scott (Mission Impossible III).
He recently scored the movie 'Abattoir', a horror thriller noir directed by Darren Lynn Bousman of the SAW sequels fame which garnered fantastic reviews and over 20 festival nominations including the LA Film festival.
Other recent feature films include Bousmans 'St Agatha', 'Dark Tide' (Halle Berry / Olivier Martinez), 'Dead Man Running' (50Cent / Brenda Blethyn) and 'Devil You Know' (Rosamund Pike / Jennifer Lawrence / Lena Olin).
At 17 Mark joined Jive/RCA Records where he began to develop his career as a programmer/producer/composer, working with a wide variety of pioneering artists such as BDP, Tribe Called Quest, Womack & Womack and a host of other hip-hop and dance related acts. He became Musical Director for Goldie (of Drum & Bass fame) and collaborated on 3 albums, worked with Fela and Femi Kuti at The Shrine, and with Ian Brown (Stone Roses) co-writing tracks on the multi gold selling album "Music of the Spheres".
Sayfritz went on to write and produce his own solo album with his band DOG called 'Neverland' on Heavenly / EMI records, featuring guest appearances by legendary Who guitarist Pete Townshend and Nigel Godrich of Radiohead and Atoms for Peace fame. One of the songs 'War' is regularly covered live by drum & bass punk gods The Prodigy.
Mark continues to score and sound design in the advertising arena.
He recently completed the NHS campaigns for Heart attack and Cancer (2022) with Director Barney Cokeliss which both received much critical acclaim.
In 2017 his music and sound design for the KP / NBA campaign "Overcome" featuring Stephen Curry was nominated for the prestigious Jerry Goldsmith Award.
Sayfritz has won the following advertising awards: D&AD pencil, BTAA Silver Arrow, CLIO "best music/sound design", EFFIE France awards & New York Festivals Advertising Awards for campaigns with Audi, Nike, Levi's, NBA, and Reebok.
