Márcio Freitas

Marcio Freitas (Rio de Janeiro / RJ - 1980) visual artist and filmmaker, graduated in cinema by UNESA and is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Audiovisual Writing by FACHA. Worked since 16 years as a cartoonist and illustrator, winning awards in illustration contests in Brazil and short film in Spain, bringing these experiences his passion for storytelling, as well as a fascination with still image of instantaneity showing a moment of reality of people and characters. Between 2013 and 2016, worked with pictures and advertising videos, worked 3 national longametragens and delivered several lectures and workshops in universities and cultural centers in Brazil. In 2016 he began the itinerant project NEVER ME be silent, with 20 pictures of 2x2 meters on the beach of Copacabana and will MASP.
