Richard has spent 25 years in marketing, advertising, and digital leadership roles around the globe, including New Zealand, The United States, Canada and throughout Asia.
He has been part of the Proximity Worldwide Network for 13 years, joining Proximity New Zealand in 2004 where he was appointed as National Planning Director, responsible for the agencies strategic planning group on key clients including Vodafone, Toyota, Westpac and Air New Zealand.
In 2006 Richard was appointed as Regional Managing Director for Proximity in Asia and moved to Singapore to take up the role.
In 2012 he expanded his remit to include Middle East and Africa, and in this expanded region he oversees 23 Proximity offices and is responsible for leading and developing the Network’s business, growth, capability, talent and reputation. He also works closely with iconic global brands such as P&G, Pepsi, VISA, ExxonMobil, and Fonterra.
Richard’s roles throughout his career and related work has always had him at the forefront of the digital marketing revolution and his experience in markets around the world has moulded him into a true global marketer.
