David Sackman is the Chairman and CEO of Lieberman Research Worldwide® (LRW), one of the largest custom market research firms in the world, and the visionary behind AppliedVR®, the Virtual Reality company that has attracted the participation of the world’s leading academic authorities on the subject.
Sackman honed his marketing strategy and new product development expertise over 30 years of first-hand experience in a wide-range of product categories, and applies these skills to his numerous entrepreneurial endeavors. Recently distinguished as a 2015 Tech Visionary by SURVEY Magazine’s Technology Trendsetters, Sackman’s ultimate goal is to use Virtual Reality to help create positive behavior change to make the world a better place, a topic on which he presented a TEDx Talk in London.
Prior to joining LRW over 25 years ago, Sackman was Director of Research at Columbia Pictures, headed Marketing for the Winchell’s Division of Denny’s Restaurants, and led Marketing for the Group Health Services Division of American Medical International, a $3 billion healthcare company at the time.
Sackman has served on the Board of Directors of both the Marketing Research Association (MRA) and Council of American Survey Research Organizations (CASRO). He currently serves on the advisory board of USC’s Entrepreneurial School (ranked #3 in the country by US News & World Report), and is an active member of the World Presidents’ Organization and CEO. Sackman received his B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles.
