Luke Mugliston spent the first half of his career ad agency side, running major brand accounts from multiple sectors: FMCG, Financial Services, Corporate, Consumer Electronics, Healthcare, Cosmetics, Luxury, Travel, and Charity. He was lured away from Publicis to become a client by one of those accounts. After four years as marketing director at the global investment giant, Fidelity, Aviva asked him to head up the team to deliver what The Times subsequently called “the slickest rebrand in corporate history”: Norwich Union to Aviva. The team included Bruce Willis, Elle Macpherson, Alice Cooper, Ringo Starr and Dame Edna Everage. As Global Brand Director at Aviva, aside from strategic development, governance, eBusiness and cross-business consultancy, Luke Mugliston and his team created the award-winning, multi-faceted “You Are The Big Picture” international campaign – a transformational two-year programme of activity, within the organisation and externally: Facebook refer to it as a case study in social media best practice.
