Thanks to his extensive experience in communications and sales marketing coupled with his entrepreneurial instincts, Alain is an invaluable partner for any company looking for a different or innovative approach to leveraging the full value of a brand.
An ideas generator, Alain is a firm believer that cleverly integrating brands within entertainment properties along with strategic marketing is a unique way of standing out from the crowd in today’s rapidly changing media environment. For him, anything is possible. The underfunding that currently plagues the production world is a powerful catalyst that creates unique partnership opportunities for producers and marketers. People. Plots. Popular culture. And brands. It’s a marketing approach that works.
From a successful career on the client side, promoting sales and events as O’Keefe’s Brewing Company Director of Promotions for Quebec between 1984-89, Alain crossed over to the agency side as General Manager of Marketel-McCann-Érickson’s promotion division from 1989 to 1991. He was then approached by Promo-Marketing-Carlson, a company specializing in relationship marketing, to become its Vice President and CEO between 1991-95. He left to launch and become President and CEO of Publicis Dialog, where he was responsible for the company’s Montreal and Toronto operations between 1995-2001.
In 2001, he successfully launched an agency that has become ZAD Communications Inc. Working closely with producers and advertisers and their agencies, he has been associated with Quebec’s most successful product placement and integration undertakings in motion pictures (BOYS IV and CRUISING BAR II) and in television (BOYS drama series and Ma Maison RONA reality TV show).
In 2007, he joined Les Évadés Inc as partner and co-president, responsible of business strategy, business development, content strategy, strategic alliances and general management.
