CEO + Co-founder of Dos Mundos Creative, Kana LiVolsi, has a great admiration for talented, entrepreneurial minds and is passionate about helping them standout and succeed. Due to the impact she sees media have on our culture, Kana has made a point of working with brands that align with her values that promote an evolution to healthier cycles — particularly those that place a visible value on empowering women, minorities and those in the LGBTQ community.
For over a decade, Kana focused on entertainment media, working in production for companies such as NBC, HBO, Showtime, BBC, Nike and MTV and transitioning into the digital publishing industry creating strategies for publishes and retailers such as HaperCollins, Penguin, Simon & Schuster, Cox Media, Conde Nast, Google, Apple, Sony and Amazon. A pioneer in the eBook space, her creative campaigns as Marketing Director for BooksOnBoard included work with a wide array of partners from Tyra Banks, to the Daytime Emmys and Nascar, and helped the virtually unknown eCommerce store grow to be the #1 largest independent eBookstore in the world, #3 overall behind Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
This diverse experience has given Kana a deep understanding of branding strategy for multiple consumer markets, which she now uses to help the Dos Mundos team evolve and adapt quickly to meet the needs of their globally-recognized, high-end clientele. This same business sense and passion has helped Dos Mundos be net-positive from day one — without seeking outside investment — as well as grow over 1,000% in revenue from year 1 to year 2 with no signs of slowing down.
