I’m Guilherme Nunes, an art-based Creative Director from Brazil, based in Lisbon since 2013.
It all started when I was 17, in my hometown of Rio de Janeiro.
There I had the opportunity to work (and learn) at small boutique studios and local agencies. And, five years later, I moved to São Paulo, where I continued my journey at bigger agencies such as AlmapBBDO.
It was then, in 2012, that I decided to move once again.
But this time, instead of an agency, my next stop was a sabbatical.
Starting my Eurotrip from Dublin, I took that opportunity to study and explore Europe until my very last pocket money.
And in between Dublin and Lisbon, I had a brief but amazing experience as the Digital Creative Coordinator at Fullpack agency in Brazil. Where I not only learned how to lead the digital side of an agency—but much more important—it was there that I met my lovely wife.
The following year we moved to Portugal. Working as a Senior Art Director at the Lisbon office, I helped the team achieve Agency of the Year recognition a number of times, which fortunately resulted in my own recognition — Best Art Director in 2015.
In all these years, I have also played an important role in helping the agency win local and regional new businesses pitches, such as Heineken, Holmes Place, Luckia to mention a few.
Which brings us to the present.
Two years ago, I was invited to join a new role within Publicis Groupe as Creative Director of Publicis Lisbon.Since then I have led the creative work for clients such as Renault, Garnier (L’oreal), Nestlé, Unilever, AEG (Electrolux) and Bimbo.
And just one year into this new role, we were named (for the very first time) the Best Integrated and Innovative Agency in Portugal— and I became a father :)
