Chris Davey

UK Head of Design at Dentsu Creative
Edinburgh, United Kingdom

About me

Chris heads up a ragtag group of creatives, designers, illustrators, animators, writers, coders and other creatively talented folk at Dentsu Creative UK, that looks to create meaningful, beautiful, memorable and effective creative work.

A BIMA Creative Council Member and BIMA100 winner he is also an awards judge for The FWA, The Lisbon Advertising Festival, The Drum Cream Awards and Marketing Society Awards as well as involvement with Adobe Behance Portfolio Reviews and D&AD New Blood Mixer.

He believes hugely in the next generation of young creative talent and has started and is involved in many initiatives across Scotland and the UK and is a founding creative partner for the incredible Daydream Believers program which is bringing Critical Thinking, Problem Solving and Creativity into schools.

As well as spotting award-winning work over the past 18 years he has helped Whitespace pick up a fair few themselves across D&AD, The FWAs, The DADIs, Drum Roses awards, Marketing Society awards as well as being awarded Scottish Design Agency of the Year an incredible 4 times.

He is a huge fan of open collaboration and ‘just doing it because we can’. Never afraid to fail or challenge, Chris is always looking for the next great idea, whether that is through ground-breaking tech or Play-Doh. He believes the best work comes from great people working together without fear to make stand out work.
