Why did you think it was important to join the PHNX jury this year?
Being a part of the PHNX jury this year was important to me because it emphasizes diversity and fresh perspectives. Joining a jury that champions such diversity offers a unique opportunity to foster and celebrate innovative ideas in our field.
What do you think of our hybrid jury, featuring creatives but also strategists, clients and people from all corners of the industry?
By embracing a holistic approach when evaluating creativity, we acknowledge the power of diverse perspectives in generating impactful ideas. This inclusivity leads to a deeper understanding of what makes advertising effective and resonant.
What do you think of the idea of free entry until the shortlist stage?
Offering free entry up to the shortlist stage is a fantastic initiative, particularly for participants from countries facing severe economic challenges, such as Ukraine, Venezuela, Nigeria, and Nicaragua. This approach democratizes the opportunity to compete on a global stage. However, it's important to acknowledge that this could significantly increase the volume of submissions, presenting a challenge in managing and judging the entries effectively.
How would you define the perfect PHNX Awards winner?
The one that our Aunts and/or relatives share on WhatsApp with the group or during dinner conversations.
What is having the biggest impact on creative trends at the moment?
Cultural moments, and that includes AI (ChatGPT 4, Midjourney, Runway, Gemini and Sora)
Who would you nominate as your two or three “creatives of the year”?
