In Mexico, there are more than 2 million people who experience violence and discrimination due to their sexual orientation, leaving an empty space in families, groups of friends, and communities. At Aeroméxico, we want everyone to be able to fly with pride, so we shed light on this harsh reality.
We turned our setas into a symbol against the discrimination suffered by millions of people in the LGBTQ+ community. During Pride month we made their stories visible and raised awareness on our flights, mainstream TV, and social media. We also decided to immortalize their stories in the most relevant space for the cause: The Memory and Tolerance Museum. We created immersive experiences in which we recreated the stories of the victims. With hundreds of hours of testimonies, people could relive their stories and connect with their reality.
