Umberto Onza

Umberto, a talented Industrial Designer from Helsinki was born in to a multilingual family with a father from Italy and a mother from Finland. This strange European mix of two completely different cultures made him burly like a Nordic Viking and creative like a high Renaissance Italian artist.

Since my early years I’ve been designing and following my passion to explore and create new. I’ve always been a great problem solver and a strategic thinker. Growing up somewhere around the northern hemisphere and close to nature can be seen on my style and design thinking.

My core skills and work experience are in industrial design, experience design, graphic design, service design, UI design, concept design & development, design management, strategic design and usability.
My best features are prioritization skills, team work, efficiency, good craft and material and technology know how. I'm good at producing results with a high standard even with limited time. I can cope with any kind of pressure, adapt to hectic travel rhythms and I am passionate with anything that involves creativity.
Currently I belong to the core Innovation Team at TBWA\Helsinki and I have been widely involved in creating the unit, its design processes and methods.

In my free time I like to do sports, watch complex sci-fi and thriller movies, draw and take care of my Bengal cat.
